FAQ
1. What is a DTF transfer?
A DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfer is a high-quality heat transfer that allows you to apply full-color designs directly onto garments and fabrics. Your artwork is printed onto a specialized film, coated with adhesive powder, and then pressed onto clothing using heat. DTF transfers are known for their vivid colors, fine detail, and long-lasting durability.
2. What is the minimum I can order?
At Tuxedo Print, there are no minimums. Whether you need a single transfer for a one-off project or hundreds for bulk production, we print exactly what you need. This makes it easy for both small businesses and large apparel brands to order confidently.
3. What kind of press do I need?
We recommend using a professional heat press for the best and most consistent results. However, transfers can also be applied using a Cricut EasyPress or even a household iron. For business use and bulk orders, a heat press will ensure durability, proper adhesion, and professional results every time.
4. What sizes are available?
We provide flexible options to fit your needs:
-
Create a Gang Sheet – Fill a custom sheet with multiple designs.
-
Upload a Gang Sheet – Send us your own pre-made sheet.
-
Transfers by Size – Choose from pre-set sizes (22" × 24", 22" × 48", 22" × 60", and more).
This flexibility makes ordering simple, whether you’re testing a design or producing in bulk.
5. How do transfers hold up in the wash?
Our DTF transfers are designed for long-lasting performance. When applied correctly, they hold up through repeated washing without cracking, fading, or peeling. For best care:
-
Wash garments inside out in cold water
-
Use mild detergent
-
Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals
-
Tumble dry low or hang dry
With proper care, your transfers will remain vibrant and durable for the life of the garment.
6. How quickly can I get my order?
Most orders are printed and shipped within 24–48 hours. Delivery times depend on your location and shipping method. We also offer fast shipping options to ensure you get your transfers exactly when you need them.
7. What file format should my artwork be?
We accept all file types, including PNG, JPG, PDF, AI, PSD, and SVG. For best results:
-
Vector files (AI, PDF, SVG) provide the cleanest lines and sharpest quality.
-
Raster files (PNG, JPG) should be at least 300 DPI at final size.
👉 Tip: If you use Canva or Procreate, export your design as a PDF Print for the highest clarity.
8. What is your refund policy?
We back every order with our Satisfaction Guarantee. If you’re not completely satisfied with your transfers, we’ll reprint your order at no cost, using either the same file or a revised version you provide. Your peace of mind and confidence in our printing quality are always our top priorities.
